Bennett is an associate in Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer P.A.'s Redevelopment practice group, where she prosecutes a variety of complex condemnation actions for redevelopment, open space, and other public projects.  Her practice includes defending against challenges to the jurisdiction to condemn, real property valuation litigation, and environmental cost recovery actions.  She also advises condemning authorities on various property owner relocation issues.

Ms. Bennett has appeared before the Tax Court and County Tax Boards of New Jersey.  She has litigated property tax appeal cases involving hotels, office complexes, industrial facilities, shopping malls, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and residential properties.  She also has experience with property tax exemption issues involving religious, hospital, and educational non-profit entities, and has advised taxpayers on farmland assessment qualification and roll-back taxes.

While earning J.D. and M.B.A. degrees at Rutgers University, Ms. Bennett held a leadership position in the Women’s Law Forum.  She advocated on behalf of traditionally under-represented groups by providing pro bono representation to clients of the Women and Aids Clinic and the Federal Income Tax Clinic.  She was also a legal intern in the chambers of the Honorable Joseph A. Greenaway, Jr., Judge of the District Court of New Jersey.

Following law school, Ms. Bennett served as law clerk for the Honorable Mitchel E. Ostrer, J.S.C., where she mediated diverse matters filed in the Special Civil Part of the Superior Court.  Prior to joining the firm of Wilentz, Goldman and Spitzer, Ms. Bennett was associated with a large, Southern New Jersey firm, where she litigated real property issues involving natural resources damages, municipal sewerage, wetlands mitigation, land use, and state and local property taxation.

Ms. Bennett holds membership in the American Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association, and the Mercer County Bar Association.  She is an associate in the Mercer County Inn of Court, and serves on the Hamilton Township Juvenile Conference Committee.
